Preparing students for the world of work and beyond

The Alternative Learning Provision Bristol
Alongside practical learning episodes in our fully equipped workshops, we include literacy and numeracy support, PSHE discussion based sessions, catering and regular Physical Education sessions. We help students to develop the necessary work and social skills to be prepared for the adult working world.

We have branches in the Fishponds and Hengrove areas of Bristol and students travel from various regions of Bristol, S. Glos, and BANES to attend our sessions. We are an ‘approved provider’ in all of the above Local Authorities, plus all our units are run by qualified teachers and experienced school leaders.

Please see the below links for examples of our various student pathways.

Our food safety accredited staff teach catering skills including ingredient preparation and cooking methods to all our students. We cooperatively produce meals for the group on a daily basis, affording learners an understanding of healthy eating and how to produce meals within a strict budget.

Classroom

Our classroom benefits from the latest IT facilities to support learning.

Teaching is delivered in the classroom through discussion, modelling and practice or directly to students’ interactive devices through our IT system.
